    Beaches

There are numerous quiet un-crowded beaches in the Erris area which offer the chance for you to enjoy the Sun, Sand and Surf in clean blue waters. This is list of some of the main beaches in the area.

Two of Beaches in the Erris area are designated Blue Flag Beaches

The Blue Flag Beach campaign’s standards are 20 times higher than the minimum set by the EU directive on bathing water quality. But there are beaches which do not have flags simply because the award is confined to those which have been designated ‘bathing beaches’ by the EU. A beach can be clean and have no Blue Flag it normally means they lack the necessary facilities.
